Transport options from KIX Terminal 2

Kansai International Airport is served by trains, buses, and ferries. Here’s how to get to their boarding points from the domestic and international lobbies.

KIX Terminal 2 Terminal 1

To go from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, simply take the free shuttle bus.
There are two boarding points outside Terminal 2.

From the domestic lobby

Turn left outside the domestic arrivals lobby; the shuttle bus boarding point is approximately one minute’s walk away.

From the international lobby

The shuttle bus boarding point is 30 meters directly in front of the international arrivals lobby.

There are two boarding points. You can use whichever is convenient.

The shuttle bus arrives at the Aeroplaza. From there, it’s a short walk across the concourse to Terminal 1.

Train

Take the shuttle bus from Terminal 2 to the Aeroplaza. Go through the Aeroplaza and out the other side, across the concourse to the Kansai Airport Station (served by the JR and Nankai railways).

Kansai Airport Station is between the Aeroplaza and Terminal 1.

If you are heading to Namba (in Osaka), take the Nankai Railway; if you are heading to Umeda (in Osaka) or Kyoto, take JR.

Limousine buses

Limousine bus services are available from Terminal 2 to major destinations throughout the Kansai region and beyond (including Shikoku and Okayama). There are 11 boarding points sorted by destination.

From the domestic lobby

Turn right outside the domestic arrivals lobby; the limousine bus boarding points are a short walk away.

From the international lobby

Outside the international arrivals lobby, the limousine bus boarding points are a short walk away in the direction of the domestic lobby.

Buy limousine bus tickets from the machines near the boarding points.

High-speed ferry

The Bay Shuttle high-speed ferry is handy for those heading to Kobe. A trip from Kansai Airport to Kobe Airport takes approximately 30 minutes. A shuttle bus is available from Terminal 2 to the ferry pier.

From the domestic arrivals lobby, head toward the international arrivals lobby.

Ferry tickets can be bought at the ticket counter inside the international arrivals lobby.

To get to the pier, turn left outside the international arrivals lobby; the shuttle bus boarding point is a short walk away.

The shuttle bus takes approximately ten minutes to reach the high-speed ferry pier.
