Pregnant Travelers/ Travelling with children

Pregnant Passengers

If you are pregnant and expecting delivery within 28 days, It is required to submit a medical form in advance.
If you are pregnant and expecting delivery in more than 29 days, you do not have to submit a medical form before traveling.

Pregnant passengers expecting to deliver in more than 29 days

You do not need to contact us before your travel.

We may ask you about your expected due date and also check your health condition at the airport/on board.

Pregnant passengers expecting to deliver in 15 days to 28 days

Please submit a set of medical forms ("Medical Information Form", "Special Assistance Request/Agreement") 3 days prior to your scheduled departure. The "Medical Information Form" must be issued by a physician no more than 7 days prior to your scheduled departure.

Pregnant passengers expecting to deliver within 14 days

Please submit a set of medical forms ("Medical Information Form", "Special Assistance Request/Agreement") 3 days prior to your scheduled departure. The "Medical Information Form" must be issued by a physician no more than 7 days prior to your scheduled departure.
You must also be accompanied by your obstetrician (attending physician or primary doctor).

If you are expecting delivery within 28 days, in order for us to assist you at the airport and inside the cabin, we will contact you in advance to confirm:

  1. If you are traveling with a companion.

    Our cabin attendants are not permitted to provide medical services, or to assist with feeding or personal hygiene and lavatory functions.
    For those passengers requiring such assistance, it is recommended to travel with an attendant*.

    *The attendant has to meet all of the following conditions.

    • Must be over the age of 12
    • Must be able to assist the attendee with evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency
    • Must not be required to assist anyone other than the attendee during an emergency evacuation
    • Must be aware of the attendee's condition and be able to provide any needed assistance
    • Must be seated next to the attendee
  2. If you are accompanied by children under 2 years of age

    You may not hold your child on your lap in this case.
    Only 1 accompanied infant is allowed and it must be seated in a child safety seat. Please purchase a separate ticket with selected seat.
    Please prepare your own child safety seat.

Traveling with Children

Depending on the child’s age, special rules and fares are applied for ticketing.
Please check the list below and purchase a ticket as required.

  • Under 8 days
    Not permitted to travel
  • Between 8 days and 1 year old(Infants)
    A companion is required.
    If you do not use the seat, sit the child on the lap of an adult. (free of charge)
    If you want to use a seat, you need to purchase a ticket. (paid)
    *While the seatbelt sign is lit (including when taking off and landing), it is necessary to hold it on an adult's lap or use a child seat.
  • 2-11 years old(Children)
    Both ticket purchase and a companion are required.
    *Use of child seats is optional
  • 12years old or above(Adult)
    Passengers over 12 years old can board alone.
NOTICE
・The infant's name must be added in the booking even if your child will not occupy a seat.
・Each adult passenger can travel with up to two infants who are under the age of 2. However, an additional seat must be purchased for the second infant, who will be seated in his or her own seat using a child safety seat.
・The total number of infants allowed on board per flight is limited.
・Baby stroller, child safety seat and bassinet can be checked for free as checked baggage.
・There is no rental service available for child safety seats or bassinets.
・For flight safety reasons, seats on emergency exit rows are not permitted for children and passengers traveling with an infant.

Travelling with Children in a Child Safety Seat

Passnegers need to bring their own child safety seat and set by themselves. Please note that Peach does not provide rental service of child safety seats.

Approved child safety seat for using on board

For security reason, Your child safety seat needs to meet the following conditions to be used on board.

1)You may use your own child safety seat which is certified in one of the following regions with the certified label on.

  • Japan (MLIT-Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Japan)
  • US (FMVSS-Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard)
  • Europe(ECE R44-United Nations Economic Commission for Europe)
  • US(FAA, Federal Aviation Administration)

2)Infants need to be seated properly without exceeding the weight, height and age limit indicated on the child safety seat.

3)Only Front-facing child safety seats are allowed to use on board(Rear-facing child safety seats are not acceptable)

4)Your child safety seat must to be attached to the aircraft seats with the two-point seat belt.

5)Unacceptable child safety seat examples

NOTICE
・Your child safety seat is not allowed to be used on board in case it cannot be attached to the aircraft seat, even if it meets the conditions.
・If your infant will travel in a child safety seat, a purchased ticket with seat selection is required.
・For flight safety reasons, seats on emergency exit rows are not permitted for children.
・Passengers need to bring their own child safety seat on board and set by themselves. (Please note that cabin attendants do not assist passengers to set up child safety seats.)

Bookings with an infant or a child

Depending on the child’s age, You may need to contact Peach contact center for booking.
Please check the following and contact Peach Contact Center for booking at least 3 days prior to your scheduled departure if needed.

●Bookings with

  • Infant:If you are traveling with an infant, please contact Peach contact center for bookings.
  • Child:You can book your child ticket with the accompanying adult via Peach website

    * If you need to add a child into your booking, please contact Peach contact center.

●You may use your own child safety seat which is certified and please check also the following conditions:

①Brand Name/Product No. (Product name)

②Type of safety certification mark

  • JAPAN(MLIT-Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Japan)
  • US(FMVSS-Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard)

③Whether the infant or child fits the seat properly without exceeding the weight, height and age limit indicated by the child safety seat.

④Is the child safety seat a Front-facing seat (Rear-facing seats are not acceptable)

    Please make sure to come to the check-in counter by:

  • Checking of the child safety seat to be used on board

    We will reconfirm your child safety seat with reference to the information you provided in advance.

On Board

  • Passengers need to carry their child safety seats and set by themselves.

    Please note that the cabin attendants do not assist in the process.

Arrival

  • Customers need to uninstall their child safety seats by themselves.

    Please note that the cabin attendants do not assist in the process.
